The Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) Board must make a decision on the temporary settlement of indirect taxes for 2012 and this is in the Federation of BiH's favor, because there was a slight decrease in final consumption in Republika Srpska over the course of this year.
"The fact is that the same interim distribution coefficient is already entered in the third quarter of 2012, although according to date on final consumption from the UIO, the coefficients should be different in the first, second, and third quarters of the year. This means that you will need to first have a provisional settlement for 2012 in favor of the Federation, because there was a slight decrease of final consumption in Republika Srpska in the course of this year," a spokesman for UIO BiH, Ratko Kovacevic, told Fena.
However, the amount at the moment is known only to members of the UIO Board.
Kovacevic recalled that, according to regulations on the calculation of the coefficient of the allocation of revenue from indirect taxes, scheduled for 31 July 2012 at 12 p.m. from the UIO's system, the data on final consumption, which is the basis for calculating the coefficients for the first temporary settlement in 2012, is drawn.
In accordance with said rules, the UIO pulled the data and submitted it to the UIO BiH board.
The relevant Macroeconomic Analysis Union performs the calculation of coefficients on the basis of data provided by the UIO.
