Izetbegovic, who is also a senior functionary in the SDA, emphasized that the party proposes that Sarajevo should grow to a district, which would imply that the city expands to the ten pre-war municipalities, and could include Kiseljak so Croats would be included.
He emphasized for OBN Television that he still had not received the original letters that former Republika Srpska President Radovan Karadzic sent him in English, although he had read it on the internet.
"When I get to letter, I will translate it and respond," Izetbegovic said.
Speaking about Karadzic's call, who in his letter sought his testimony in court on the violation of the arms embargo in BiH, Izetbegovic said that he could not be a witness, because he was not a member of the war presidency in BiH then.
Speaking about Zeljko Komsic's departure from the SDP and his remaining in the BiH Presidency, Izetbegovic said that Komsic received more votes than the SDP in the elections. Izetbegovic said that Komsic would not feel comfortable in the SDA and that he assumes that the former SDP Vice President "will not approach some parties, but will form a new gravitational field around himself."
He emphasized that BiH must return to the decision of the Strasbourg Court in the Sejdic-Finci case, and give every citizen the right to be elected to the BiH Presidency.
"We must go back to the original proposal from Banja Luka - one (member of the BiH Presidency) from Republika Srpska and two from the Federation, regardless of nationality," Izetbegovic said.
Regional cooperation
Speaking on the current situation and reconstruction of the FBiH government, Izetbegovic said that they aren't interfering in the party, because they are weary and do not know what more to do. Izetbegovic said that regional cooperation must develop, especially with Serbia and Croatia.
He noted that in October he would invited Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to Sarajevo for trilateral talks between BiH, Serbia, and Turkey.
