The “Let’s Buy and Use Homemade” Association organized today in Sarajevo the third Domestic Economy Fair.
The fair was officially opened by Deputy Minister for the Economy Ljubica Livaja - Mitrovic. She said that the fair has a special significance because it promotes local products.
By buying local products we protect workplaces in Bosnia and Herzegovina and fulfill the budgets of all government levels, which protects the interests of citizens and the government, said Livaja – Mitrovic.
President of the"Let’s Buy and Use Homemade” Association Admir Kapo said that they wanted to gather in one small place everything that is produced in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
About 54 companies were involved in the Fair from all over BiH, engaged in different activities: leather goods, textiles, toys, buildings, services, and tourism, although most come from the food industry.
"The specificity of this fair is that visitors have an opportunity to buy quality food produced in an organic way that they can't find in supermarkets", said Capo, who added that the greatest problem facing Bosnian producers is that in big shopping centers, every day you can find fewer and fewer local products, so fairs like is this are a good opportunity for citizens to find out something about the quality of local products.
The fair is opened in Sarajevo Children’s Square and it will last for three days.
