To mark the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) worldwide and 15 years of USAID’s presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, USAID/BiH is organizing a roundtable to discuss the BiH energy sector, which the U.S. Government has supported through various USAID’s projects.
The event will take place at Hotel Leotar in Trebinje, on Thursday, May 10.
Representatives from USAID energy projects, BiH energy sector stakeholders, and NGO representatives will discuss EU standards in the energy sector and energy sector reforms in BiH, including guidelines for energy efficiency and its practical applications.
Since opening the U.S. Embassy in BiH in 1994, the U.S. Government, primarily through USAID, has provided close to $1.6 billion to improve the lives of BiH citizens and help lay the foundation for a brighter future.
Through its ongoing programs, USAID/BiH is working to improve economic opportunities, promote a business-friendly environment and boost democratic and social progress in BiH.
