As promised during its establishment one year ago, full amount from the ‘Seikh Saleh Kamel Fund’ have been paid for the first year as scholarships for 500 orphaned children and children of poor financial means from the entire of B&H.
The fund, which was established by Bosna Bank International, Fatma Association and philanthropist Sheikh Saleh Abdullah Kamel, Founder and Chairman of Dallah Al-Baraka Holding Co. Total amount of US$600,000 was paid out in monthly installments of US $50,000 over the period of 12 months.
The scholarships were divided into equal monthly scholarships in the amount of one hundred dollars to each student.
"The fund paid US $50,000 dollars regularly each month as per initial pledge by Sheikh Saleh Kamel. Money is, according to the acts governing the operations of the Foundation, distributed evenly in the monthly amount of $ 100 for 500 scholarships and paid directly into the individual accounts of each student, which were opened for them free of charge by Bosna Bank International" said Fatima Hukić, President of Fatma Association.
The ‘Seikh Saleh Kamel Fund’ has been established to support the education of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and encourage them in their effort to build their career at home.
