In early November a building constructed with financial backing from Angelina Jolie is going to be opened in the center of Rogatica.
The building is intended for refugees staying the collective center located in the former economics school in Rogatica.
Angelina Jolie and her husband Brad Pitt visited these refugees last year.
However, problems have already arose. The refugees claim that the humane gesture of the famous actress is already being misused.
Ranka Andan (74), one of the refugees from the collective center, told Avaz that she received a notification from the Rogatica municipality several days ago saying that there is no room in the new building.
- Ranko Vladičić from Foča told me that I need to sign some document and together with Rada Rosic, a fellow resident of the collective center who I am not related to, take a small apartment on the fifth floor in the Tekija- Ranka said.
She claims that the Rogatica municipal mayor Radomir Jovicic, is trying to give an apartment to a women who didn't spend a day in the collective center.
The luxurious building in the center of Rogatica, known among the locals as “Villa Jolie”, has 11 studio apartments and two two-room apartments.
