Ivanica is located in southeastern BH, near the Adriatic coast, with a view at the Dubrovnik municipality.
Foreign investors have recognized the potential of this locality in 2006 for the construction of a leisure and recreation center.
That is when the RDF (Reconstruction Development Fund) from Geneva came with the idea for the construction ''Ivanica Resort'', a touristic center with a residential of 800 houses and 400 apartments, a sports recreation center with two golf courts and a golf courses, a central square and a amphitheater for concerts and other activities worth 427 million EURO.
The plan is to employ around 1300 people during the construction phase and around 600 workplaces.
The project was reactivated in 201 when a group of foreign investor from London compiled a new master plan for the construction of a touristic center with a wide selection of recreational and hotel facilities in combination with housing units.
The new project - ‘’Ivanica Hill’’, is going to assumes the construction of a new touristic center, with: :
- Housing units (exclusive villas, apartments)
- Shopping center
- Five star hotel with a spa and tennis centers
- A Golf course with 18 holes
- Horse riding school
- Firing range
- A fishing lake
- Gas station
